GAVIN TEE “Big Change in Property Scene After General Election – Hot Foreign Investment”
Kuala Lumpur: From 2013, governments worldwide will play an increasingly bigger role in the property market through the setting up of special economic zones which will determine where a country’s property hotspot is, says Gavin Tee, an international property consultant and speaker. “In the past, all property prices were led by the market followed by developers. But in 2013, around the world, governments are taking the lead by setting up economic zones which offer the market a bigger opportunity,” Tee said, adding that people are starting to look at government policies and analyzing the economic zones of each country when deciding which property hotspots to invest in.
“When foreign investors start coming in a big way, the immediate beneficiaries will be local property owners and investors,” he continues.
Gavin Tee, an established leader in the real estate industry, is founder and President of award-winning SwhengTee International Real Estate Investors Club (SwhengTee REI Club), which has collectively invested nearly RM1 billion worth of properties to-date.
Tee forecasts a great change in the property market after the general election and expects the market to ‘heat up’ with foreign investors surging in to invest in Malaysia. He also thinks Iskandar will hit a record high in Malaysia’s property market while Greater Kuala Lumpur will become the next world investment focus in 3 year’s time.
He foresees the Malays’ participation in property will cover many areas, and will have a big impact on the market. Where property prices in Malay-dominated areas have been generally low, these areas can likely become the next new hotspot to invest in.
Describing this as “The changing face of the real estate world”, Tee will speak more on how and where to invest to take advantage of the shift in international real estate focus towards Southeast Asia and economic zones in a 2-day seminar organized by Swhengtee International Real Estate Investors Club from 19th January 2013 to be held at PWTC (Putra World Trade Centre). The talk will include an investment programme where Tee will talk on strategies on how to “buy tomorrow’s property at yesterday’s price”, as well as his forecast for 2013.
With Tee’s forecast talks being always thought-provoking, catchy and informative, this annual event is a must-have program by members, investors and the media.
